Preventive Signaling Technology

Prevent absenteeism, turnover, conflicts, and other forms of waste.

Preventive Signaling Technology (PST) is a technique designed to detect sources of inefficiency in a timely manner, allowing for the optimization of business processes.
PST is part of our Employee Support Program and was developed by the AI coaching Collective.

The value of preventive signaling
Every person—and therefore every employee—faces dilemmas that trouble them, preventing them from performing their work optimally. Additionally, these issues negatively impact the employee’s job satisfaction. These are concerns that people DO struggle with but are NOT likely to discuss openly. Think of anxiety, insecurity, undesirable behavior, doubt, stress, and similar challenges.

Such issues can significantly hinder business operations and become a potential source of inefficiency! The key question is: “How do we get these issues to the surface, in order to anticipate them in a timely manner as an organization?”

The solutione
By providing employees with an accessible way to discuss the issues that concern them—whether anonymously or not—with a (virtual) coach, these issues can surface with the help of Preventive Signaling Technology (PST).

Virtual Coach Vico
As Coaching partner for employers,
Coaching Nederland has been providing coaching for executives, teams, and employees for over 30 years. Since 2023, this service has been expanded to include virtual coaching.

Vico” is an AI-powered virtual chat coach that allows employees to anonymously and unashamedly discuss their dilemmas 24/7. No human is involved in the process, which has its advantages.

Science and our experience teach us, among other things:

  1. The fewer interpersonal barriers, such as shame, the more openly a person shares their problems and desires.
  2. The more attention someone gives to their dilemmas and concerns, the faster the negative impact is reduced or even completely eliminated.
  3. Writing has a therapeutic effect (especially when accompanied by self-reflection questions). Such interventions increase (work) satisfaction.

This is where Vico proves its added value compared to coaching by a human coach. However, Vico also has its limitations. For instance, Vico does not experience emotions. That does not mean it lacks empathy or fails to evoke feelings in its conversation partner, but it does not perceive pain and ‘connection’. As a result, Vico is particularly effective in coaching on pragmatic topics such as communication, time and stress management, or handling conflicts.

If the employee is unable to fully resolve their issue with Vico, they have the option to contact our Coachline at 088 5335 880, where a real human will answer the phone and help the employee discuss their ad-hoc concerns. If desired, the employee can also be connected with a specialized coach, such as a career coach, confidential coach, budget coach, stress coach, and more.
