Independent Employee Support
Prevent absenteeism, turnover, conflicts, and waste with independent support.
Are you aware that there are always issues employees would rather NOT share with their employer, but that DO hinder their employability, well-being, and performance? And often, there are more of these issues than we think!
Consider matters such as:
- experiences of undesirable behavior (bullying, discrimination, intimidation, aggression)
- financial and/or other personal problems
- feelings of incompetence
- lack of self-confidence
- feelings of lack of appreciation
- excessive workload
- other feelings of psychosocial insecurity.
The organization may already be doing a lot, such as offering training, an internal confidential advisor, or an in-house coach. The question is: “I s this effective enough?” Internal support staff have one disadvantage—they work for the same employer! This increases the threshold for employees to seek help.
That’s why there’s the Employee Support Program (ESP); a place where employees can safely chat or call 24/7 to discuss their unwanted situations and work together with an external (confidential)coach to find solutions.
Coaching is an accessible, safe, widely accepted, and, above all, effective form of support that adds significant value for both employees and the organization.
The lack of a sense of support in the workplace causes employees to:
- resign
- call in sick
- cause conflicts
- lose focus on their tasks
- make unnecessary mistakes
- incur unnecessary costs
- experience less or no job satisfaction.
Independent Employee Support ensures that employees:
- are less likely to resign
- are less likely to call in sick
- are more effective
- have a more positive attitude at work
because they: - feel more confident
- can focus better on their tasks
- make fewer mistakes
- experience greater job satisfaction.
How the Employee Support Program (ESP) Works
- Employees are informed by their employer about the option to engage in a dialogue (24/7) with our virtual AI chat coach, ‘Vico’, to discuss personal or work-related topics they wish to brainstorm about, reflect on, or explore.
- If the core of the issue runs deeper, employees can contact the Coachline at 088 5335 880. Together with a coach, they will discuss immediate steps to address the situation or explore alternative actions.
- If more than a basic consultation is needed, the next steps depend on the type of subscription. Immediate action can be taken, or the employer will be consulted about the costs for further expert guidance in areas such as stress management, budget planning, or other psychosocial topics.
- At least annually, quarterly, or sooner if necessary, a report is provided to the employer on the issues that have been addressed, allowing the organization to improve working conditions where needed.
- Where possible, collaboration takes place with internal support staff, such as the confidential advisor, HR, or internal coach. However, the employee’s desired privacy is ALWAYS maintained.
